Oversikt

Manifest is an open-source platform designed to help users manage and optimize their AI inference costs by providing a routing layer between AI agents or applications and various large language model (LLM) providers. It addresses the challenge of high AI bills and the complexity of efficiently using multiple LLM services by putting users in control of their model consumption and expenditure. The tool functions by allowing users to connect their autonomous agents, applications, or third-party harnesses to Manifest. They then add their preferred LLM providers, which can include API key-based services (like OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral), existing monthly subscriptions (e.g., Anthropic, GitHub Copilot), custom OpenAI- or Anthropic-compatible endpoints, and even local models running on personal infrastructure via Ollama, LM Studio, or llama.cpp. Once connected, Manifest enables users to define routing rules, select specific models and providers for different queries, and set up fallbacks. This allows for dynamic model selection based on cost, performance, or availability. For instance, it can prioritize using quotas from a pre-paid subscription and automatically fall back to pay-as-you-go models when limits are exceeded. The platform also offers real-time visualization of spending, helping users track every dollar spent across their AI operations. A standout capability is Manifest's "AUTO-FIX" feature, which attempts to remediate common LLM request failures before they reach the agent. This includes fixing issues like deprecated or not-found models, wrong parameters, malformed requests, and exceeded context windows, aiming to prevent downtime and improve request success rates. Manifest is built with flexibility in mind, supporting a wide array of AI applications, personal agents, and workflows. It is available as a cloud version for ease of onboarding or a self-hosted Docker deployment, reflecting its open-source nature. This approach aims to make AI more affordable and accessible, from individual developers to established enterprises, by offering tools to reduce costs without compromising quality or locking users into a single provider.

Brukstilfeller

Track OpenClaw Agent Spend in Real Time

Monitor token usage, actions, and cost across OpenClaw agents as they run, giving teams immediate visibility into operational expenses.

Self-Hosted Deployment for Sensitive Workloads

Deploy Manifest on internal infrastructure to retain full control over agent telemetry and cost data without sending it to third parties.

Budget Alerts for Runaway Agents

Configure alerts on token or spend thresholds to catch misbehaving agents before they generate unexpected bills.

Action-Level Cost Attribution

Break down spending by specific agent actions to identify expensive operations and optimize prompts or workflows accordingly.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on the dashboard, and support is responsive caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. The integrations is exactly what I needed, and it saves real time. I do wish a few rough edges remain, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: the onboarding and it saves real time. Where it lags: the mobile experience lags. On balance the feature set — especially the core workflow — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. The automation is exactly what I needed, and it saves real time. I do wish pricing gets steep at scale, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is the integrations — handled better than most — and it is genuinely easy to set up. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Spørsmål

What does Manifest actually monitor for OpenClaw agents?

Manifest provides real-time cost observability tailored to OpenClaw agents, tracking token usage, agent actions, and overall spend so you can see exactly where resources are being consumed.

Can Manifest be deployed on our own infrastructure?

Yes. Manifest supports self-hosted deployment, allowing you to run it within your own environment for greater control over data, security, and compliance.

Does Manifest support alerting when costs or usage spike?

Yes. Manifest includes alerts so you can be notified about token consumption, action volume, or spend thresholds, helping you catch runaway agents or budget overruns in real time.
