Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Plagiarism checking alongside AI detection just works and useful for academic integrity investigations. but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Google Docs writing history tracking is exactly what I needed, and integrates with Google Docs workflows. I do wish subscription cost may limit school-wide rollout, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: shareable proof-of-work links for students and integrates with Google Docs workflows. Where it lags: requires student adoption of tracking tools. On balance the feature set — especially teacher dashboard for submissions — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.
