Years in this space
I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is integrated chat and code generation — handled better than most — and aI features built into the IDE, not bolted on. Agent runs may consume significant tokens is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is open-source and extensible architecture — handled better than most — and supports complex multi-file edits. Learning curve for agentic workflows is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.
Compared a few options
Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: multi-file refactoring and edits and supports complex multi-file edits. On balance the feature set — especially agentic task execution framework — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.
Skeptical, then convinced
I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on open-source and extensible architecture, and supports complex multi-file edits caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.
