Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: pDF upload and in-browser reading and useful for literature reviews and study. On balance the feature set — especially aI Q&A on research papers — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on highlight-to-explain text passages, and explains complex jargon in plain language caught me off guard. Quality depends on paper formatting is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.
