Overview

Kosmos is an autonomous AI scientist designed for biopharma R&D teams and researchers. It analyzes data and literature to produce fully cited scientific reports, accelerating the drug development process from hypothesis to registration in days, not months. Kosmos works autonomously, reading literature, generating hypotheses, steering investigations, and executing scientific workflows. It supports the full lifecycle of drug development, from target identification through clinical development and filing. The AI tool collaborates with human scientists through Slack, Teams, and email, and learns from the organization's knowledge, building on experimental history and proprietary scientific data.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. The dashboard is exactly what I needed, and it saves real time. I do wish the docs could be deeper, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: the dashboard and the value for money is strong. On balance the feature set — especially the onboarding — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on the API, and it is genuinely easy to set up caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and it saves real time. The onboarding fits neatly into how we already work, and the onboarding removed a step we used to do by hand. but it has held up under daily use.

Q&A

What does Kosmos actually do for researchers?

Kosmos is an autonomous AI scientist designed to run long research campaigns. It analyzes both raw data and existing literature, then produces scientific reports with full citations to support its findings.

Are the reports Kosmos generates properly cited?

Yes. Kosmos produces fully cited scientific reports, grounding its analysis in the literature it reviews so claims can be traced back to sources.

What kinds of projects is Kosmos best suited for?

It is built for long research campaigns rather than quick one-off queries, making it most useful when sustained data analysis and literature synthesis are needed to produce a comprehensive scientific report.
