I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is combined image and video editing — handled better than most — and aI features speed up routine edits. Performance can depend on file size and connection is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Designed for end-to-end SDLC tasks is exactly what I needed, and open source and self-hostable. I do wish output quality depends on chosen models, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on photo and short video capture, and screen-free, hands-light interaction model caught me off guard. Higher latency than phone assistants is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.
