Overview

Pamir AI provides edge AI solutions with hardware and software for offline-capable AI agents. The Distiller Alpha is an open alpha version of a dedicated Linux computer for AI Agents. Optimized for 24/7 tasks and remote access, it offers features such as persistent chat history, hardware I/O access, and a non-stop agent runtime. The device also includes an 8GB RAM + 32GB eMMC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and an E-ink display. Developers can access the device remotely through a browser or mobile app, and can write code using the Claude code with no installation needed. The device is aimed at developers who need 24/7 AI coding assistance and remote development capabilities, as well as hardware engineers who need to flash, test, and iterate on embedded systems. Indie hackers and on-the-go builders who want to build with hardware also find the device useful. The Pamir AI team is building the first computer designed for AI agents, and every unit sold teaches them something. The Agent Computer, a dedicated machine built from the ground up, is expected to be released later this year. Due to high demand and limited supply, the lead time for delivery is currently 2-3 weeks. Those in need of the device sooner are encouraged to reach out to the founders. The company is actively developing new products and features, including the Agent Computer with an 8-core ARM processor, integrated battery, and a new form factor. Alpha owners get first access and help define what the Agent Computer becomes.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on the core workflow, and it is genuinely easy to set up caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and it is genuinely easy to set up. The integrations fits neatly into how we already work, and the dashboard removed a step we used to do by hand. Pricing gets steep at scale, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.
