Overview

Octofy is an AI platform that provides access to multiple premium AI models through a single subscription. It aims to simplify the process of finding, testing, and paying for various AI models separately. The platform offers a unified interface to access over 60 models, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and more. Octofy's key feature is its automatic model selection, which chooses the best AI model for each task. Users can also customize their experience by selecting their preferred models. The platform provides various tools for organizing and personalizing chats, such as separating conversations by topic, workflow, or purpose, and incognito mode for private conversations. Octofy prioritizes privacy and security, with encrypted conversations, encryption at rest, and EU hosting by a Finnish provider, ensuring that user data is safeguarded by strong privacy laws. The platform offers a monthly subscription of €19.99, allowing access to chat and image models, with video and voice models coming soon. The platform provides several features, including image workflow, auto-selection of AI models, copying and configuring text, tables, and graphs in clean formats, and creating long documents and code snippets. Octofy also offers keyboard shortcuts, dark and light modes, and the ability to bring your own API key for personalized data control and cost management. Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: model comparison and switching and single subscription covers multiple premium models. Where it lags: dependent on third-party model availability. On balance the feature set — especially task-specific model optimization — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Task-specific model optimization is exactly what I needed, and task-aware routing for better output quality. I do wish dependent on third-party model availability, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Task-specific model optimization just works and easy switching between AI providers. Less deep integration than native provider apps can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on centralized conversation history, and task-aware routing for better output quality caught me off guard. Less deep integration than native provider apps is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is model comparison and switching — handled better than most — and single subscription covers multiple premium models. Less deep integration than native provider apps is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.
