Overview

ListingBott is a tool designed to boost website visibility and SEO backlinks through automated directory submissions. It is primarily aimed at founders of startups, including bootstrapped teams, VC-backed startups, and founders from YCombinator, as well as indie makers and business owners, particularly those in the SaaS, AI, NoCode, Dev Tools, Agencies, Ecommerce, Courses, Marketplaces, and Directories fields. The tool works by handpicking the 100 most relevant directories for a user's product, chosen from a database of over 10,000 quality sites, directories, and forums across various niches updated daily. The selection process is based on the user's stated main objective, which can be either to boost domain rating or increase potential click traffic, or both. ListingBott's process involves a payment step, followed by an onboarding email with a form to fill out, which helps the tool determine the most relevant directories for the user's product. Once activated, ListingBott works over a month to submit the product to the selected directories. The service includes human moderation to ensure quality and provides a full report at the end. A key feature of ListingBott is its focus on providing high-quality backlinks. It claims to offer listings on directories with significant traffic, such as Capterra, Product Hunt, and Software Advice, which can drive relevant audience traffic to the user's website. The tool also emphasizes that it does not provide spammy links and treats each product as its own. The pricing for ListingBott starts at $299 for the first 100 users, increasing to $999 after the beta phase. The tool also offers an additional service of including backlinks from the creator's blogs for an extra $500. One of the main benefits of using ListingBott is the potential to save time, estimated at 60 hours of work, while also improving domain rating and potentially driving traffic from relevant audiences. However, results can vary based on the product's interest and appeal to directory users.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and saves significant time on manual directory submissions. Time-saving alternative to manual outreach fits neatly into how we already work, and automated submissions to hundreds of directories removed a step we used to do by hand. but it has held up under daily use.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is submission tracking and status updates — handled better than most — and simple setup with reusable product profile. Results depend on each directory's approval process is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: support for SaaS, startups, and AI tools and useful for early-stage product launches. Where it lags: backlink value from low-authority sites may be limited. On balance the feature set — especially automated submissions to hundreds of directories — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.
