Use cases
Debug multi-step agent workflows visually
Inspect graph structure and step through execution to diagnose loops, tool-call failures, and unexpected branching in LangGraph-based agents.
Replay and fork agent runs
Rerun agents from intermediate steps with edited state to test alternative paths and reproduce bugs without restarting full executions.
Interactive agent testing
Use the live chat interface to converse with running agents, inspect their state transitions, and validate behavior during development.
Unified tracing with LangSmith
Combine Studio's visual debugging with LangSmith tracing to give teams end-to-end observability across complex multi-agent applications.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Visual representation of agent graphs and state
- Step-through debugging with state editing
- Tight integration with LangGraph and LangSmith
- Useful for diagnosing complex multi-agent flows
Cons
- Tied to the LangGraph ecosystem
- Learning curve for newcomers to graph-based agents
- Limited value outside LangGraph-based projects

Solid for our team
We rolled this out across the team last quarter and tight integration with LangGraph and LangSmith. Interactive graph visualization fits neatly into how we already work, and interactive graph visualization removed a step we used to do by hand. Limited value outside LangGraph-based projects, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.
Compared a few options
Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: run, replay, and fork agent executions and visual representation of agent graphs and state. Where it lags: tied to the LangGraph ecosystem. On balance the feature set — especially local and hosted deployment options — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.
Years in this space
I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is local and hosted deployment options — handled better than most — and visual representation of agent graphs and state. Limited value outside LangGraph-based projects is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Skeptical, then convinced
I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on run, replay, and fork agent executions, and visual representation of agent graphs and state caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.
