Overview

Kaomojiya is a web-based collection of Japanese text emoticons, better known as kaomoji, designed for quick browsing and copying. With more than 5,000 entries organized by mood and theme, it helps users find expressive characters like (^_^), (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻, or ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ without hunting across the web. The tool focuses on simplicity: tap or click any kaomoji to copy it instantly to the clipboard, then paste it into chats, social posts, documents, or code comments. Because kaomoji are plain Unicode text, they work consistently across platforms without relying on emoji rendering. It is aimed at casual chatters, content creators, streamers, and anyone who wants to add a bit of personality to their messages beyond standard emoji.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on instant clipboard copy, and large library of 5,000+ kaomoji caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and one-click copy to clipboard. Instant clipboard copy fits neatly into how we already work, and lightweight, no installation needed removed a step we used to do by hand. but it has held up under daily use.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: free access without sign-up and one-click copy to clipboard. Where it lags: no account or sync features. On balance the feature set — especially instant clipboard copy — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Category and mood-based browsing just works and organized for easy browsing. but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.
