Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and custom prompts for structured JSON output. Clean markdown and HTML extraction fits neatly into how we already work, and aI-generated JSON from custom prompts removed a step we used to do by hand. but it has held up under daily use.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. AI-generated JSON from custom prompts just works and combines extraction, screenshots, and AI parsing in one API. but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on rEST API for easy integration, and pay only for what you use caught me off guard. Requires technical/API integration is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is clean markdown and HTML extraction — handled better than most — and pay only for what you use. Costs can grow with high-volume scraping is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Q&A

How does Handinger's pricing work and is it suitable for low-volume use?

Handinger uses a pay-as-you-go model, so you're billed only for the API calls you make rather than a fixed subscription. This makes it cost-effective for low or variable usage, though costs can scale up with high-volume scraping.

What output formats does the API return for web content?

Handinger returns clean markdown or HTML extractions, along with page metadata, full-page screenshots, and custom JSON generated from your own AI prompts. The markdown output is designed to plug directly into LLM workflows with minimal preprocessing.

What's the learning curve, and who is Handinger best suited for?

It's a developer-focused REST API, so it requires technical integration rather than offering a no-code UI. It's best for teams building scrapers, research agents, content pipelines, or RAG systems who are comfortable working with APIs and designing prompts.
