Overview

GPT Image2 is OpenAI's next-generation image model, a massive leap from GPT Image 1.5. It delivers native-level multilingual text rendering with zero distortion, even on curved surfaces, photo-realistic quality, and pixel-perfect character consistency down to the last pixel. The tool surpasses Google's Gemini Imagen in text accuracy and complex scenes. GPT Image2's biggest breakthrough: text rendering accuracy is on another level. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and English text renders naturally with zero awkwardness even on curved surfaces and in perspective. The model can create posters, book covers, supermarket flyers, and UI screenshots with pixel-perfect typography that previous AI models simply couldn't achieve. GPT Image2 maintains chilling consistency down to the pixel characters, composition, and style stay identical across generations. It combines advanced world knowledge, native-level multilingual text rendering, thinking-powered composition, and pixel-perfect consistency into one revolutionary AI image generation tool. The tool is ideal for commercial use, including advertising posters, product photography, book covers, live-streaming UI mockups, and branded content at designer-level layout quality. It also supports sequential art and visual storytelling, allowing users to create complex infographics, UI screenshots, and multi-element scenes with precise spatial arrangement at designer-level quality.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and reliable in-image text rendering. Native text-in-image rendering fits neatly into how we already work, and native text-in-image rendering removed a step we used to do by hand. High-resolution renders may be slower, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on up to 4K photo-realistic output, and reliable in-image text rendering caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Native text-in-image rendering just works and reliable in-image text rendering. Limited fine control compared to manual editing can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.
