Overview

Doppio is a cloud-based service that converts HTML and screenshots into structured data for modern software workflows. It uses a modern Chromium engine to render HTML files and generate pixel-perfect PDFs and PNG screenshots. The service offers direct S3 upload, webhook support, and EU-hosted infrastructure for secure and reliable document generation. With Doppio, teams can reduce ops overhead, protect sensitive documents, and ship faster by avoiding the need to build and maintain their own rendering stacks. The developer-first API accepts various input formats, including URLs, raw HTML strings, and saved template IDs, and returns files or URLs that can be used in workflows or stored in S3 buckets. Doppio supports multiple programming languages and offers a free plan with 400 documents per month. Its features and integrations make it an attractive alternative to wkhtmltopdf, self-hosted Puppeteer, and other fragile PDF libraries.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Structured output for software use is exactly what I needed, and reduces manual data entry. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on screenshot parsing with AI, and useful across many document types caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and useful across many document types. Automated document processing fits neatly into how we already work, and automated document processing removed a step we used to do by hand. Limited public details on integrations, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: screenshot parsing with AI and reduces manual data entry. On balance the feature set — especially support for varied document layouts — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.
