Overview

Coauthor is an AI writing assistant aimed at executives, founders, and other time-pressed professionals who want a consistent presence across blogs, newsletters, and social platforms. It learns the user's tone and style, then drafts long- and short-form content from brief prompts, voice notes, or outlines. Rather than producing generic AI text, the tool focuses on matching the writer's individual voice, vocabulary, and point of view. Drafts can be refined through iterative edits, making it useful for thought leadership, LinkedIn posts, articles, and internal communications. By reducing the time between idea and published piece, Coauthor positions itself as a productivity layer for personal branding and professional communication.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Personal voice modeling just works and works from short prompts or rough notes. Quality depends on voice training input can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and useful for thought leadership and social content. Tone and style customization fits neatly into how we already work, and formats for blogs, newsletters, and social posts removed a step we used to do by hand. but it has held up under daily use.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on personal voice modeling, and works from short prompts or rough notes caught me off guard. Less suited to highly technical writing is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.
