Overview

ChurnControl is a retention tool for subscription businesses that intervenes at the moment a customer tries to cancel. By adding a single line of code to your billing flow, it presents personalized offers, pauses, downgrades, or feedback prompts designed to keep users on board. The platform uses AI to determine which save offer is most likely to work for each customer segment, balancing retained revenue against discount cost. Teams can track cancellation reasons, measure save rates, and iterate on offers without engineering involvement. It is aimed at SaaS and consumer subscription companies that want to recover revenue from churning users without building a custom cancellation flow in-house.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on a/B testing for retention flows, and captures structured cancellation feedback caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and quick setup with minimal engineering work. Cancellation reason analytics fits neatly into how we already work, and segment-based offer targeting removed a step we used to do by hand. Requires billing system integration, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Personalized cancellation save offers just works and quick setup with minimal engineering work. Value depends on existing churn volume can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Segment-based offer targeting is exactly what I needed, and measurable impact on retained revenue. I do wish save offers may erode margins if untuned, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.
