Overview

Askiva is an AI-powered tool designed to automate user research and interview processes. It primarily targets researchers and teams looking to streamline their workflow by automating tasks such as scheduling, conducting interviews, and analyzing results. The tool works by allowing users to set up research topics and questions, create a participant pool by uploading contact information, and define study settings. Askiva then automates the process of inviting participants, scheduling interviews, conducting them via Zoom, and transcribing the conversations. One of its key features is its ability to handle a significant portion of manual work involved in research interviews, such as scheduling, emailing, and documentation, which can be reduced by up to 90%. It also claims to compress research cycles from weeks to hours and lower spend on admin tasks by up to 80%. Askiva's AI capabilities include multilingual interviews with personalization, adapting tone and phrasing to the audience, and handling various aspects of the conversation such as backchannel and interruptions, silence handling, and answer length guard. The tool provides instant transcripts and insight summaries, grouping themes, surfacing key quotes and sentiment, and allowing users to export or share results with their team. Overall, Askiva aims to make research interviews more efficient, allowing teams to focus on analysis rather than administrative tasks.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Insight reports for hiring teams is exactly what I needed, and runs interviews 24/7 without recruiter availability. I do wish less suited for senior or specialized roles, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Asynchronous candidate access just works and produces structured candidate summaries. Less suited for senior or specialized roles can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on aI-led candidate interviews, and runs interviews 24/7 without recruiter availability caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.
