Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: directional canvas extension controls and simple workflow for non-designers. Where it lags: complex scenes may produce inconsistent results. On balance the feature set — especially supports common image formats — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.

AI-powered image outpainting fits neatly into how we already work, and directional canvas extension controls removed a step we used to do by hand. Limited fine-grained control over generated content, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is aspect ratio reformatting — handled better than most — and fast outpainting without manual editing. Limited fine-grained control over generated content is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.
