Compared a few options
Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: user authentication system and built-in authentication and user management. Where it lags: smaller ecosystem than commercial alternatives. On balance the feature set — especially compatible with any LLM or agent framework — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.
Does the job
Pretty happy overall. Streaming responses support just works and framework-agnostic agent integration. Customization may require code changes can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.
Years in this space
I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is compatible with any LLM or agent framework — handled better than most — and saves time on building chat UI. Requires technical setup and hosting is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.
Use it every day
Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Compatible with any LLM or agent framework is exactly what I needed, and framework-agnostic agent integration. I do wish requires technical setup and hosting, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.
