Overview

1Shot API is an onchain automation layer that enables AI agents and workflows to read, write, and pay with smart contracts via a managed wallet API. It provides a permissionless gas abstraction relayer, a self-service developer platform, and embedded passkey wallets. The platform aims to consolidate everything needed into a single high-performance execution layer, addressing the fragmentation, high latency, and poor abstraction layers that hinder developers from getting their onchain products to market. With 1Shot API, developers can build sovereign agents, smart wallets, neobanks, and unstoppable money flows. It supports EIP-7702 and EIP-7710 for gasless transactions and delegated transaction execution, and offers built-in MEV protection, relayer key management, and real-time analytics. The platform also provides a unified development experience with support for pay-per-tx public relayers and custom relayer solutions.

Key features

  • Gas abstraction
  • EIP-7702 and EIP-7710 support
  • Built-in MEV protection
  • Relayer key management
  • Real-time analytics
  • Unified development experience

Use cases

Enable AI agents to transact onchain

Give AI agents the ability to read from and write to smart contracts through a managed wallet API, allowing autonomous onchain actions without custom blockchain infrastructure.

Automate smart contract workflows

Integrate smart contract calls into automated workflows so business logic can trigger onchain reads, writes, and payments programmatically.

Agent-driven crypto payments

Allow AI agents and applications to send and receive payments via smart contracts using a managed wallet, removing the need to handle keys or low-level chain operations.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Permissionless gas abstraction relayer
  • Self-service developer platform
  • Unified transaction history and error visibility
  • Multi-chain reads and writes
  • First-class support for ERC-7702 and EIP-7710

Cons

  • Limited detailed information on pricing and cost
  • May require significant setup and configuration

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is the automation — handled better than most — and the value for money is strong. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is the API — handled better than most — and support is responsive. Pricing gets steep at scale is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on the automation, and it saves real time caught me off guard. The docs could be deeper is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. The onboarding is exactly what I needed, and it saves real time. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Q&A

What does 1Shot API actually do for my AI agents?

1Shot API provides an onchain automation layer that lets AI agents and workflows read from smart contracts, write transactions to them, and make payments, all through a managed wallet API so you don't have to handle key management or blockchain infrastructure yourself.

Who is 1Shot API designed for?

It's aimed at developers and teams building AI agents or automated workflows that need to interact with smart contracts, including reading onchain data, executing transactions, and sending payments without building custom Web3 wallet infrastructure.

Does 1Shot API handle wallet and key management for me?

Yes. 1Shot API is a managed wallet service, meaning it abstracts away the complexity of provisioning and securing wallets so your agents and workflows can transact onchain via simple API calls.
