Use it every day
Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Agentic task execution is exactly what I needed, and fast inference with the Flash variant. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Years in this space
I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is native code execution and tool calling — handled better than most — and tight integration with Google's ecosystem. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Skeptical, then convinced
I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on agentic task execution, and strong multimodal understanding across text, image, audio, and video caught me off guard. Some advanced features are region-restricted is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Compared a few options
Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: agentic task execution and generous free tier via Google AI Studio. Where it lags: less mature third-party plugin ecosystem than competitors. On balance the feature set — especially available via Gemini app, API, and Vertex AI — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.
